We're on Maui

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

We moved to Maui on Jan 5th 2010.We were all sick during this move, it was a big challenge. Chad had pneumonia, Kami had a sinus infection, the kids had staff infection during Christmas, then some kind of viral infection for New Years, and Sophia had a little ear infection. Luckily, we had so much help from our Wahiawa 3rd Ward Ohana in our big move. Also my parents came on Christmas to help us pack. Thanks Mom and Dad. Even though we were sick during the holidays and our move, we had been truly blessed from the friendship and love from our friends, family, and neighbors.

Sophia's Blessing, Camden's 3rd B-day, and Chad's Graduation

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

We've been pretty busy these past couple months. Sophia was blessed on May 3rd, Sunday at our chapel in Wahiawa. It was also Camden's 3rd Birthday. Thanks for all the family coming down from Maui, Laie, Hau'ula, Pearl City, and Honolulu. We had a lunch for our family to celebrate the blessing and Camden's birthday. Our little house was full of family and the amazing thing was there was a nice breeze. It's always fun being with family and talking story.

After a year and a half of going to classes on the weekends, I finally finished my MBA at HPU. The graduation ceremony was held at the Waikiki Shell. It was sooo long but I was glad that I walked. "You only graduate once for your MBA," was my constant thought during the lengthy ceremony. Much mahalo for my mom coming from Maui, Aunty Sylvia for coming, Shaun, David, Carol, Aaron, Mom Lowe, Julia, Niva, my wonderful wife, and kids.

Easter @ Puna's house 2009

Monday, April 20, 2009

My mom and dad were visiting with us for the weekend and enjoyed themselves with their grandchildren. We had an eventful, enjoyable weekend with my parents. Easter was a fun time for the kids. We colored eggs at home before church and rushed over to Laie to Puna's house after church. There we had an Easter egg hunt and an early dinner. At Puna's house we had steak, asparagus chicken casserole, rice, potatoes, tossed green salad, and for dessert chocolate mousse. Yummy! Sorry didn't take any pictures of the food.

We had an Easter egg hunt in the back of Puna's yard for the kids which they all enjoyed. Mikayla was all over the place and Camden at the beginning was very selective for his eggs. He only wanted the green and blue ones at first. Little cousin Warren called the eggs, "ball". Niva wondered if there was a Golden Egg, nope no Golden Egg this year but she had a surprise from her Mama.

Uncle Shaun and Sophia. It was his first time carrying her.

Welcome Baby Sophia!

Sunday, April 5, 2009

On March 23rd, Monday, we welcomed our third child into our family, Sophia Kau'ika'iulani Keiko Yuen! She came a little early, about 3 weeks early and weighed in at 5 pounds and 7 ounces. She was 18 inches long and had a nice set of hair. Kami had an epidural for the first time and it worked so well that baby's head crowned without Kami feeling anything!
Mikayla is so tickled to have a baby sister and asks to hold her everyday. Camden at first was not interested at all as you see by his face in the picture. However, he now wants to give her kisses and hold her.
